Nächster Blutspendetermin in Wersen am 4. Dezember 2009

Der Bedarf an Spenderblut steigt ständig. So können heute Herz- und Gefäßerkrankungen geheilt werden, die früher als hoffnungslos galten. Ständig zunehmende Gelenkoperationen sowie Herz-, Nieren- und Knochenmarktransplantationen sind nur durch eine größere Zahl von Blutspenden möglich. Durch den Ausbau des Rettungswesens steigen die Chancen, bei einem Unfall zu überleben. Doch dies geht nur, wenn ständig genügend Blutkonserven zur Verfügung gestellt werden können.
Da es bis heute noch nicht gelungen ist, einen gleichwertigen Ersatz, eine Art künstliches Blut, zu schaffen, werden immer mehr Menschen als regelmäßige Blutspender benötigt. Trotz Sicherheitsreserven entstehen in den Spitzenzeiten immer wieder gefährliche Engpässe. Deshalb sollte jeder, der noch kein Blut gespendet hat, nachdenken, ob er nicht auch bei nächster Gelegenheit Blut spenden könnte. Spätestens zu dem Zeitpunkt, an dem man selbst Blutkonserven benötigt, wird deutlich, wie wichtig Blutspenden ist. Schließlich muss immer ausreichend Spenderblut vorhanden sein.
Blut ist ein Organ mit lebenden Zellen und vielen verschiedenen Eiweißen. Jedes hat für sich lebenswichtige Funktionen. Blut kann nur vom Körper selbst gebildet werden und ist deshalb durch nichts zu ersetzen. Blutspenden kann jeder gesunde Erwachsene zwischen 18 und 68 Jahren (als Erstspender/in 18-59 Jahre) Blut spenden.
Der nächste Blutspendetermin in Lotte-Wersen findet am 4.12.09 statt.
Gespendet wird in der Gemeinschaftshauptschule in Lotte-Wersen zwischen 16.30 Uhr und 20.00 Uhr.
Nachdem bereits der letzte Termin in Lotte-Halen einen neuen Erstspender-Rekordanteil von fast 27 % Erstspendern gebracht hat hofft das Team auf eine gute Resonanz des letzten Spendenangebotes im Jahre 2009 in Wersen.
